I wish that we lived in a world where sex offenders didn't exist.  Wouldn't it be nice?  Unfortunately, that is not the world we live in - and because of that fact we all have to be vigilant when it comes to protecting ourselves and our families from the threat of sex crime.

Luckily, the law has our back in that regard.  If you are convicted of a sex crime, you must register as a sex offender as part of the process of paying your debt back to society.  Sex offender registries, like the ones found online for Louisiana, exist so that citizens can be aware of where these convicted offenders live.

Just to be clear: Tier-3 sex offenses are the worst of the worst.  Those that are branded with this type of conviction have been found guilty of rape, incest, and more.  You can read the laundry list of horrible crimes that will earn you this dubious distinction on the Louisiana State Police's official website here, but be warned - it's not for the faint of heart.

I was amazed to find out just how many Tier-3 sex offenders are living in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.  There are more than 60 living within the city limits, and as you can see from the map at the top of this page - there are a couple of pockets where the concentration of offenders is mind-blowing.

Below, I have collected the 61 Tier-3 sex offenders that live in our area.

Have you ever wondered if you live near any sex offenders? As a parent of 2, it's something I am constantly worried about. Luckily, law enforcement keeps track of those who have been convicted of a sex crime in order to keep us informed. The folks listed below have been convicted of the highest level of sex crimes. Authorities classify these crimes as Tier-3 sex offenses. Each and every one of these offenders live in Shreveport or Bossier City - and as the law demands, their crimes and addresses been made public. Tier 3 Sex Offenders in Webster Parish

The following gallery is a list of all the tier 3 Sex Offenders currently residing in Webster Parish. A Tier 3 Sex Offender is anyone who has committed a sex offense that is punishable by more than one year in jail where the offender has at least one prior conviction for a Tier 2 sex offense, or has previously become a Tier 2 sex offender, is a “Tier 3” offense. B. General Offenses. A “Tier 3” offense includes any sex offense for which a person has been convicted, or an attempt or conspiracy to commit such an offense, that involves: 1. Non-parental kidnapping of a minor, 2. A sexual act with another by force or threat, 3. A sexual act with another who has been rendered unconscious or involuntarily drugged, or who is otherwise incapable of appraising the nature of the conduct or declining to participate, or 4. Sexual contact with a minor 12 years of age or younger, including offenses that cover sexual touching of or contact with the intimate parts of the body, either directly or through the clothing.
