In his nomination letter, he told us just how amazing Tonya is, and it was obvious to us that Shreveport/Bossier is a much better place because Tonya is here.

It's her dedication and willingness to serve that make Tonya the perfect person to receive this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

My wife of 24 years, mother of six children is always doing for others and never expecting amything in return! Together, we served our great nation for 24 years in the US Air Force. She decided to be a stay at home mother shortly after the birth of our first child and continued to crush that role after our twins were born in 2014. During our service, I deployed 8 times. She filled the role of both mom and dad, never wavering in her roles and responsibilities, as I performed mine overseas away from home! When I retired from the Air Force and all the kids were in school, she decided to give more of herself to the community as a substitute teacher in Bossier Parish! I am in awe of her strength and commitment to not only our family but all of those she comes in contact with in the community. She is always thinking of our neighbors, and it melted my heart when after the tornados a couple weeks ago, she had our kids out in the neighborhood helping others with storm damage. I again was out of town with my current job. She is amazing and I am fortunate to call her my wife and life partner!

Tonya Kizzia, because you've been 'Caught in the Act', John and the gang at the Magnolia Pit have a $50 gift certificate for you to come enjoy a great meal!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Tonya to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
