For those who think that hunters are cruel, heartless cavemen, here's living proof that some hunters will even risk their own safety to preserve an animal and never give a thought to shooting him.

Deer hunters like me all over Northwest Louisiana have been waiting on these next few hours since the end of January!  Daylight tomorrow morning, it's Deer Season!

If you're into archery for whitetail deer, you certainly don't need me to tell you that bow season begins here in Area 2 of Northwest Louisiana in one week on October 1.  Just 7 days til it's "game on" for 4 full months.

Well deer season 2012 is on like a chicken bone!  And yes dear, we're going to spend as much time hunting the elusive white tail as the law will allow.  And you should be thankful with our efforts.

All day long I've been as fidgety as a kid on Christmas Eve.  If you're a deer hunter too, you know exactly what I'm talking about.  And we're not alone.
