So the widening of Bellevue Road began in the Summer of 1967 right...well, maybe it was a little later than that but it seems like it was decades ago. Supposedly the project will be completed in the fall, but it's coming with a huge price.

I've never lived up north. Really haven't even traveled up there much, so I'm not too sure about how much damage a "snow storm" can bring to an area, but here in God's Country, in the Deep South, we certainly know that Spring brings on Severe Thunderstorms and Tornadoes, and the damage they bring costs literally hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, each year.

Got an email a couple days ago from Trey Thames, a member of Grace Community Methodist church in Shreveport. According to Trey, again this year they're sending to groups to Haiti to provide donations and aid...just as they've done since the earthquake of 2010. Trey's group will leave the first week of June and another group will be there Thanksgiving week.
