Chris Scott's heart is pretty heavy.  Not because of sadness, but because gold weighs a lot.  And it's that heart of gold that we salute this week as he is Kiss Country's "Caught in the Act Award" recipient for the week.

And to top it off, it was his wife Amanda, who was proud enough of the man she married, to let us know.

Just take a look at the letter that Amanda sent us as she nominated Chris for this week's Caught in the Act Award.

My husband, MSGT Christopher Scott USAF stationed at Barksdale AFB,is one of the kindest people I know. Recently a former teacher at Parkway High School where our Daughter attends was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and needed a Double Mastectomy due to the type of cancer it is she will also have to have a couple more surgeries and treatments. For what ever reason I don't know but she had to come up with $2000.00 before they would do her surgery. This woman had only known that she was going to have to come up with this money I believe less than a week from her surgery date. Friends and family had come up with what they could but fell short by $700.00. Had this woman not been able to get this surgery it would have spread to her lymph nodes and her chance of survival would have been very slim. Chris came to me the weekend before her surgery and said he wanted to give her the $700.00 . Now my husband had just lost his own Mother the week before Thanksgiving and was still dealing with that loss.
He volunteers to coach little league football and baseball and has at every base we have been stationed at unless he was deployed. He is there for my mother that is totally disabled, with what ever she needs. Chris has a heart the size of Texas, he didn't grow up with much as a child but is always willing to give.

MSGT Chris Scott, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Chris to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
