We'd be remiss if we didn't mention that without the kindness of Melissa Smith, we would have never heard about the incredible Jessica Anderson, so thank you Melissa for taking the time to fill out that nomination form.

As you look through all the amazing things that Jessica blesses her community with each and every day, it makes you wonder if she ever gets any sleep.

What an amazing lady and we're blessed to present her with this week's award!

I met Jessica many years ago when she was precepting at the pediatric office I worked at at the time and I knew the moment I met her there was something special about her. She worked in women's health for several years but she wanted to pursue a career taking care of children. Fast forward a couple of years later and she became a family nurse practitioner at the pediatric office I was managing at the time. Jessica has compassion for taking care of people in general but there is a special place in her heart for children. On top of her own medical practice and having 3 wonderful children of her own, she still pours her heart of gold into so many others in our community. From volunteering her time with all the preparations for Cypress Baptist's "A night to shine" event doing hair and makeup to prep God's children for their big night and making each of them feel so incredibly specia l, Jessica is also a dance instructor at Candace Dance Company where little girls come to have fun and dance their hearts out with "Mrs. Jessica". Jessica also has her hand in helping raise funds for Unite- A Foster Care Ministry and at Christmas time she is an outreach for a program very speical to her for many foster children in our area to make sure they don't go without at Christmas time. This past Christmas alone she was able to help make wishes come true for over 150 foster children in our community. Speaking of foster children, Jessica has become a foster mom herself to a precious 3 year old little girl. Jessica is also co-owner of Claire Aile, an athletic, dance & cheer apparel and clothing store for girls. Jessica wears many hats in helping children in so many ways. No matter how much is on her own plate or whats going on in her life, Jessica always makes a way and would even go out of her way, above and beyond to help someone in need and never expects anything in return. I t's all in the goodness of her heart. She is a ray of sunshine with the most kind and patient heart. She is a faithful child of God, an excellent mother, daughter, sister, friend and coworker. To know her is to love her and I know without a doubt that anyone else that knows her (and that's a LOT) would agree. The world needs more Jessica's like Jessica Anderson

Jessica Anderson, because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner.

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Jessica to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
