We've been blessed over the last year to meet some really awesome people with our Caught in the Act Award. People who see a need and then fill that need. But today, we visited with a man who's actually given the gift of life. He's Thomas Wallace!

And though we're certain that Thomas didn't realize anyone was paying attention, it was his neice, Sabrina Patten, who nominated him for this award.

Just read the letter she sent us.

I would like to nominate my uncle tommy. There are so many things he does, that deserve attention. While most people dread Monday's he looks forward to them, to him it's Make a Difference Monday. These days he will purchase the drivers Starbucks drink behind him that morning and that afternoon, will purchase lunch for an airman where ever he may be. Normally Mondays is Canes on Youree, we eat lunch together a lot so i know his schedule. He volunteers with multiple groups through out the year, from Toy's for tots to United Way, and is even helping to Start the 1st Annual Chili cookoff for the Heart Association Heart Walk. Now against his doctors orders he loves baseball and spends a great deal of time teaching and coaching Little League in Minden, were he sponsor his teams himself and purchases uniforms for all his boys. He has touch so many lives. I should know he saved my life. On November 16th 2011, he donated a kidney that saved me. I will forever be grateful and I love him dearly.

Thomas Wallace, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Steak House and Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Thomas to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
