Meet Taylor Reed – Our Final Caught in the Act Award Recipient of 2015

It's time to reveal our final Caught in the Act Award Recipient for 2015 and you know that because of the timing, this week's recipient is a stand out in our community! Meet Taylor Reed, a 16-year-old student at Byrd High School in Shreveport.

Taylor was nominated by her mother Stephanie Hall who told us us that Taylor is 'truly one of the angels walking among us.' She was certainly a guardian angel for this family in particular. We think Stephanie has a lot to be proud of when it comes to her daughter. Here's Taylor's official nomination:

Taylor is the most caring and amazing young lady I know. I have watched her volunteer and give of herself many times over the years, whether it was with children at church or helping to feed the hungry, or simply going and sitting next to the new kid at school so that they wouldn't be sitting alone... even after all of that, it has been in the past few months that she has left me in complete awe. She has gone through things that no one should ever have to, especially a child. During all of this she has taken her story and used it to help others... literally... she wrote an article for the school paper in hopes of helping others. Just two weeks ago she noticed a kid hungry at school. She offered them what food she had on her and came home wanting to do more. She has since, with the help of so many people in our area, collected food for this family, to include everything for Christmas dinner... and even pulled enough help together to help this family have a Christmas, when they didn't think that they would have one. She is one of the strongest, young ladies I know, and being her Mom has taught me so much about the kind of person that I want to be. I love her to the moon and back
