Meet Marcelle Tubbs – This Week’s Caught in the Act Award Recipient [VIDEO]

When you lose a family member, your world gets rocked. When you lose a best friend, it's not much different. Jennifer Menard lost her mother and Marcelle Tubbs lost her best friend, but despite their losses, Marcelle showed Jennifer a giving heart and unending kindness.

Because of Marcelle's help through a really tough time in both of their lives, Jennifer nominated Marcelle for this week's Caught in the Act Award and her letter tells the whole story and made it easy to see that Marcelle was definitely worthy of this honor.

Marcelle is a remarkable woman! She has a servant's heart and it shows in everything she does. She works at The Glen and the residents along with her co-workers adore her. My mom worked there with her for many years and they became the best of friends. My mom suddenly passed away in January and as hard as it was on Marcelle to lose her best friend, she immediately jumped in to help us. She was a God-send during this incredibly difficult time. However, she didn't stop after the funeral. She continues to send weekly messages of encouragement and checks in to see if we need anything or if there's anything she can do to help. She listens, prays for us, offers advice & support, and genuinely cares for us. Yesterday I received a package in the mail from her containing a book of daily devotions for healing after loss along with my mom's name tag from work and a note saying someone had given her the book after she'd lost her mom, how much it'd helped her, and that she hoped it would help me as well. She's not only a God-send to us, but also to everyone who comes across her path. She regularly volunteers her love and her time to "doing good" in the community with church and very often on her own. She loves to do good in secret and surprise people with random acts of kindness. She is a prime example of what it means to love God and love people. Not only is she a true servant, she's quite a comedian as well. I've never been around her and not laughed. It's absolutely impossible to say her name without smiling! Thank you Marcelle for all you are to so many! You are loved and appreciated more than you'll ever know.
