Have you ever really considered just how lucky we are to live in a place where so many amazing people are constantly more focused on the needs of others than on any of their own desires?  We see stories of people like that every week.  Dozens of entries come in each day for Kiss Country's "Caught in the Act Award."

Stories of people doing for others, helping the homeless, working with animals, and in the case of our recipient this week, working with our youth.

This week, our recipient is Casey Hall of Blanchard! Bristol and I spoke with Casey this morning and shared with him the letter below that was written by Shawn Thomas.

Casey has been my son's "coach" for many years. I first met him when he coached my son in baseball. After several seasons of baseball, he also became our football coach, and as the boys got older, he has now become their shooting sports coach. It's like he lives to be a coach, and believe me, he is fantastic at it! Casey gives selflessly of his time, all while traveling with his position at KCS railroad. Casey is a gentle giant, who at times has stood in the gap in many of our boys lives. He is their mentor, their friend, but above all, he is their coach and with that title, he makes our boys lives, and our little community of Blanchard, a great place to live and grow up!

It's people like Casey who give these youngsters such a great foundation and a great role model.  Casey, Thank you for making Kiss Country such an awesome place to live!

We are truly honored to say that you've been "Caught In The Act" of doing good.

Along with letting everyone know just how incredible Casey is, we've got a small token of our appreciation for his generosity with a $100 Visa Gift Card.  (Oh, and Casey, if you want to blow it on shotgun shells, we totally understand)
