Northwest Louisiana High School Football: This Sunday, November 10, the LHSAA will determine all of the playoff pairings and the respective schools will then schedule their games. For some schools, and especially senior players, this week’s game could be the most important of their high school career. (more)

The State Fair of Louisiana: Running through Sunday, you and the family are going to have to take in at least one day of our annual fall tradition! It opens each day at 10am. (more)

The Fall Haughton Farmer's Market: Including Haughton High School JROTC program and their Coat Drive and Flags for Vets Programs. Come out to the market and donate your winter coats. They are open from Noon-4pm at Joe Delaney Park on West Jackson. (more)

Shreveport Farmers’ Market: Fall crops and plants will be available, as well as meat, cheese, milk, home-made goods, and a market café. The market takes place in Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport. It will be open from 8:00 a.m. until noon, on Saturdays only, through November 23. (more)

Fishing Tournament to Benefit Casey Graham: Local man, Casey Graham is a 35 year old, local oil field worker, and in September he was re-diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread throughout his entire abdomen. Carter Services and scores of Casey’s friends will host a bass tournament on Caddo Lake to raise much needed funds for Casey and his family. (more)

Walk To Prevent Suicide: Saturday, we hope you’ll join us for the Northwest Louisiana “Out of the Darkness Walk.” The walks raise awareness about depression and suicide, and provide comfort and assistance to those who have lost someone to suicide. (more)

Veteran’s Day Parade and Honor Ceremony Sunday: 2nd Annual Veteran’s Day Celebration and Honor Ceremony. Kicking off the day will be The Louisiana Veterans Honor Parade at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds beginning at 2pm. (more)
