Bossier Veteran’s Expo Will Give Vets Wealth of Resources
While there is still much room for improvement, over the past fifty years our country has made some remarkable strides in providing our military heroes their much deserved resources and benefits programs.
All too often though, many vets are unaware of any benefits for which they might qualify or be entitled to.
With that in mind, VFW Post 4588 will host a Veterans Expo on May 18 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the post at 1004 Jeter Street in Bossier City.
In an email from Post Commander, Randy Campbell, we learn that this event will feature a wealth of information and resources for Veterans including:
- VA Claims
- Health & Well Being
- Financial Health
- Final Expenses.
The event promises to have representatives on hand to provide info and those resources from:
- Overton Brooks VA Medical Center
- DAV: Disabled American Veterans
- Evans Financial Group
- Boone Funeral Home
- TAPS - Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors
- Humana
- STAR Program
- Guitars 4 Vets
In conjunction with the Veterans Expo, Lifeshare Blood Center will have the LifeShare bus on site for a blood drive and all donors will receive a 40 ounce travel tumbler just for giving.
