Monday, November 11 is Veteran's Day all across this wonderful country, but this Sunday, November 10, it will be Veteran's Day at the State Fair of Louisiana.  The Caddo Parish Commission, Bossier Parish Police Jury, City of Shreveport and the city of Bossier City, along with local veterans' support organizations, invite the public to join in for the 2nd Annual Veteran's Day Celebration and Honor Ceremony.

Kicking off the day will be The Louisiana Veterans Honor Parade at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds beginning at 2pm and Brigadier General Joanne Sheridan will serve as the Parade Marshall.

Immediately following the parade at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club on Greenwood Road, veterans from all wars will be recognized and Gary McCoy will present specially nominated veterans with certificates of appreciation.

General Sheridan of the Louisiana National Guard will be the featured speaker and there will be special performances by the Shreveport Metropolitan Band and the Airline High School Choir.

Please join Kiss Country as we honor and thank those who have given so much and asked so little in return.
