Weekend Events for Shreveport and Bossier City May 30- June 1

What’s going on across Shreveport and Bossier City this weekend? There is a lot going on and if you want to get out and enjoy the weather this is the weekend to do it. From a couple of local farmers markets to the annual Cross Lake Flotilla we’ve got you covered in Kiss Country!

Caddo Sheriff’s Department Fish Fry: Friday from 10:30 to 2pm deputies will be serving up lunch to benefit the Salvation Army. You can get lunch at the Sheriff’s South Substation on Mansfield Road in Keithville for $8.00 (more)

USA Wakeboard Collegiate Nationals On The Red River: For three action packed days, beginning this Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1, we’ll see the best collegiate wakeboarders in the country compete as college teams and on individual levels. This includes our hometown favorite, Haughton’s own Trevor Duncan, who now competes for the University of Louisiana Monroe! (more)

Shreveport Farmers Market: Kicking off it’s summer season this weekend at Festival Plaza. The Saturday morning event starts at 7am features live music, homegrown fruits and vegetables. (more)

Cross Lake Flotilla: Saturday from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm! This year’s theme is “Love the Lake Life” and the event, now in its 23rd year, will again be headquartered at the Lowe-McFarlane American Legion Post at 5315 South Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport. Admission is FREE (more)

Benton Farmers Market: The Sunday-only outdoor market held at 495 Simpson Street in downtown Benton, will open for its inaugural season, 12:30-5 p.m., on Sunday, June 1. (more)

How U Ridin Truck, Car and Bike Show: The show Sunday has moved to the Louisiana State Fair Grounds after being held in Gilliam for the past 5 years. From 3-9 pm $15 buck to gets you in Kids 12 & under get in free.(more)
