Randy Smith is Recipient of This Week’s Caught in the Act Award

Katie Smith says "I never know where my husband might be. He's always helping someone." And that's just the type of man that Randy Smith is. I'm lucky enough to know Randy personally. We were actually in the same Sunday School class for a while and he truly is the type of person we look for each week for Kiss Country's Caught in the Act Award.

And because of the letter we received from Katie about her giving husband, Randy, he was obviously a shoe-in for this week's award.

I never know where my husband might be! He is always helping someone do something, literally! You can usually find him at the football field on Friday Nights in the fall or riding in the town working as a Reserve Police Officer. He also might be coming to your rescue if your in a wreck, have a medical problem, or have a fire. HE has been on the local volunteer fire department for over 12 years! You cannot find many people to volunteer for these stressful roles in life, but he not only does one...he does 2! If you ask him to help you do something he will be there. Numerous times he has stopped to help strangers on the side of the road that ran out of gas, was struck, or just needed help. If you need help to move, put up a ceiling fan, fix a leaking faucet, someone to volunteer on the HOA board, HE IS YOUR GUY! I often cannot go in anywhere that my husband does not take time to s hake hands, talk or listen to people in our community, and help out where ever needed. Numerous people have said "He is the nicest person I know." Not only does he volunteer his time to do all that, but he is a loving father to your 10 year old daughter and tries to make every event that she has. I am always exhausted trying to keep up with my other half, but that is why I fell in love with him and his loving and giving heart in the first place. All this and much, much more is why,Randy Smith, should be a great candidate for your "Caught in the Act" award.

Randy Smith, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
