Jason Plunkett Is This Week’s Recipient of the Caught in the Act Award

Brianna Salter just couldn't put it off any longer. She knew that her Dad, Jason Plunkett, was her "personal Superman", but she just hadn't taken the time to tell us here at Kiss Country, how awesome he is.

Course, the minute we read Brianna's letter about Jason, we knew immediately that he'd be this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!!!

Just look at the letter, and we know you'll agree that Jason is a man worth all our love and admiration!

 I honestly feel like God broke the mold when he made my daddy. You won't find a more hard working, compassionate, or Godly man out there, in my opinion. He raised my sister and I in a Christian household and taught us that if you want something in life, hard work and determination were the way to get it. He has been on several mission trips to the Yucatan, Mexico where he helped build an orphanage and a church for the people there. He was involved in a prison ministry in our local parish jail where he would have bible study with the inmates and help encourage them to strive for a better life once they got out. Being raised in the country, his favorite past time, of course, is hunting and putting a dent in the feral hog population. He will trap them live, bring them home, process them himself, and, when he can, disperse them to people who may not be able to afford groceries from week to week. He is a deacon at our church is his involved in many things there as well. Whether it be helping cook breakfast for Sunday morning prayer breakfast to buying plastic boxes for the Operation Christmas Child shoe box ministry, he does his best to help out where he can. He will always be my own personal Superman, and I know without a doubt that he will come help me anytime I call him. I can only hope to be half the parent to my daughter as he is to me. He never asks for any recognition for the things he does and the help he selflessly gives out, but I feel like he is a wonderful candidate for the Caught in the Act award.

Jason Plunkett, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
