Individually, both are generous and giving, but together, they are an unstoppable force for good in the Arklatex area!

When their dear friend, Heather Sharp, submitted their nomination, we were blown away to the lengths these two were willing to go to serve others.

From Brandon's men's group to Leah's work with the youth, their lives are a constant demonstration of service and love.

Just look at their nomination letter submitted by Heather and you'll see why Leah and Brandon were an easy selection for this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Brandon and Leah Goswick are the definition of being the light. If you mention their last name anywhere in our community, almost everyone can share a story about how this family has positively impacted their life. Brandon and Leah are the kind of people who live as the hands and feet of Jesus. They never seek recognition, yet they so deeply deserve it. From helping take kids to and from church, school, and activities, to stepping in wherever there is a need, they are always there. Brandon runs a men’s group made up of men from all over the world who openly share their struggles, habits, and hang-ups, knowing they will receive godly — not worldly — advice and support. Leah faithfully volunteers with the youth group at church and opens her home as a host home any time it’s needed, without hesitation. On top of that, she is a nurse and lovingly cares for one of the sweetest special-needs kiddos you could ever meet. They truly wake up every day looking for ways to make someone else’s day better. Not long ago, my life felt like it was falling apart. Within ten months, my husband and I lost four people who were absolute staples in our lives — losses we were not prepared to face. We grew lost within ourselves and nearly lost our marriage. The Goswicks were determined not to let that happen. For months, they poured into our family, with no obligation to do so. They opened their home when we needed space, offered countless “back porch counseling sessions” that drew us closer to the Lord, and faithfully guided our family back to a faith we had drifted far from. Instead, they simply give all the glory to God for allowing them to serve.
