SHREVEPORT, LA - Let's prove em wrong is what I say. SEC Media Days has wrapped up and the members of the media who voted have chosen Alabama as the favorite to win the SEC West. But it was a close vote. LSU was second behind the Crimson Tide.

Tiger Rag Editor Todd Horne believes the Tigers should be the preseason favorites to win the West.  He says LSU has shown they can win at Alabama…

"I personally think LSU has the advantage because they have a returning quarterback and the same returning offensive and defensive coordinators. Alabama has none of that."

The big matchup between the Tigers and the Tide is in Tuscaloosa on November 4. Horne says "as most Tiger fans know, in competitive seasons with Alabama, LSU has more luck at Tuscaloosa than they do in Tiger Stadium."

What about on offense? Do the Tigers have the leader that can do the job LSU Quarterback Jayden Daniels is a first team All SEC selection. He's even mentioned as a possible Heisman contender. Is he the definite starter Horne says "He's the obvious choice for that. Stats wise, 5th year, showing improvement and gaining weight. I think it's gonna be a great season for Jayden Daniels."

Overall in the SEC, Georgia was voted to win not only the East division crown, but also the SEC Championship. The Bulldogs also had 16 players selected to All-SEC teams — the most out of any team in the SEC.

The Bulldogs got 181 first-place votes, while second place, Alabama, received 62.

The 37 Wins LSU Football Had To Vacate

Due to a player that was ruled ineligible years after the games were played, the LSU Football program had to vacate 37 wins. Here are the games that they have now retroactively dropped wins from.
