Just as this past weekend's traffic flow saw issues with bridge inspections on both I-20 and at the Texas Street bridge, we're likely in for more slow-downs this coming weekend with additional bridge inspections.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has issued an advisory to all motorists that ramp closures have been scheduled at the LA 3132 interchange with I-49 in Shreveport to allow for routine bridge inspection.

The ramp closures are as follows:

  • Saturday, July 27, 2024, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: LA 3132 eastbound ramp to I-49 northbound
  • Sunday, July 28, 2024, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: LA 3132 westbound ramp to I-49 southbound

The DOTD reminds drivers that bridge inspection crews will be on site conducting these routine bridge inspections, so please drive cautiously through the work zone, slow down, remove any distractions, and never drive while impaired.

The Most Anger Inducing Roads in Shreveport-Bossier

I try to be a positive guy. I do. But, if I'm being honest, it's HARD to stay positive when you're driving around Shreveport-Bossier. Truly. Between the traffic, the potholes, the debris...it can drive the most sane and level-headed person absolutely crazy!
