With routine bridge inspections slowing traffic the past couple of weeks to the work scheduled to begin Monday on a couple of bridges along LA 169, DOTD is putting lots of emphasis on the bridges of Northwest Louisiana.

And now, in an alert from DOTD, we learn that another bridge will require some TLC each day next week.

The alert advises drivers that beginning Monday, July 20, the LA 3094 (Hearne Ave) northbound bridge over Cross Bayou in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be experience intermittent lane closures while DOTD crews perform routine maintenance work on the bridge.

These lane closures are scheduled to take place each day, Monday, July 20th through Friday, July 24, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Please be advised of equipment and crews in the work zone, and drive with extreme caution through the area.

This work will be done "Weather Permitting" so inclement weather could delay, extend, or alter in other ways, the scheduled work day/hours.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
