More Traffic Problems For Congested Bossier Road This Weekend

And here we go again! Remember last weekend, when you had that long wait in traffic at the intersection of Benton Road and I-220 in Bossier City?

Well, it's going to happen again all this weekend.

According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, beginning Friday, April 29, at 9:00 am through 6:00 am on Monday, May 2nd, the southbound, outside lane of Benton Road, (LA 3) will be closed.

At the same time, the I-220 Westbound entrance ramp from LA 3 (Benton Rd) Southbound will be closed.

Though inconvenient for weekend travelers, LaDOTD is doing all they can to make these much needed repairs in off peak times and the closures are necessary to allow the contractors to begin concrete patching operations on the I-220 Westbound entrance ramp.

This work will last approximately three days, but a reminder, all work will be performed, weather permitting, so nothing is set in stone and could be subject to change.
