A notice from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has advised all drivers to expect those closures this Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19, on I-220 between the US 71 (N. Market St) and I-49 interchanges in Shreveport.

According to that alert from DOTD, these intermittent lane closures will take place in both directions as needed between 6:00 am and 10:00 am only, and are necessary to allow SWEPCO to replace their overhead lines that stretch across the interstate.
