The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has sent out another notice that will require motorists to make some possible adjustments to travel plans.

According to DOTD, this Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16, there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 3132 between the US 171 (Mansfield Road) and the I-20 interchanges in Shreveport.

Thankfully, these closures shouldn't take place during peak travel times as they are scheduled for approximately 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day, and are necessary to allow the contractor for the ongoing signage replacement project to pour concrete foundations for the new sign poles.

The lane closures will take place in both directions of LA 3132, though not at the same time.

Of course, the work can only be done "Weather Permitting" so any inclement weather could delay, extend, or alter in other ways, the scheduled work days/hours.

The entire project is anticipated to be complete in Spring 2026.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
