Cancer entered the lives of Neil and Janice Jones of Hooks, Texas in 2007 when Janice was diagnosed with colon cancer. Together Neil and Janice endured the pain and hardship that cancer brings and neither could imagine what that pain might be like from the parents of a sick child.

Just in case you ever have a conversation regarding chimpanzees, they are NOT monkeys.  They are primates.  Monkeys have tails.  That's one of the things Gary learned this morning as Gary and Julie visited with Ashley Gordon of Chimp Haven about their Spring Fling coming up next Saturday, April 12.

Let's face it.  Most of us have no idea what it's like to spend day after day in agonizing hunger but we can all agree that here in the greatest country on earth, NO ONE should experience hunger.

Friday afternoon, Elm Grove Middle School was consumed with kindness and giving.  Students literally built a mountain of donated school supplies they had been collecting for “Faith Moving Mountains,” a non-profit group that distributes school supplies and uniforms to those in need.

Rob Hale is the kind of boss most everyone would love to work for.  He's the CEO of Granite Telecommunications in Massachusetts.  Not long ago he was joking around with an employee who apparently had an enormous "Duck Dynasty-ish" beard, and told him that he'd donate $10,000 to cancer research if the guy would shave it off.

If you've ever wondered what a house built from mac-n-cheese boxes would look like, now you know!   Students at Bellaire Elementary just built this one. Members of the Destination Imagination “Rising Stars” team took their service learning project to heart, pitching the idea to their principal, Vicky Birtcher, to collect mac-n-cheese and sell ring pops to benefit The Salvation Army.
