Meet Brittany Brumfield – This Week’s Caught in the Act Recipient

Every week Bristol and I are blown away at the kindness and generosity of so many people right here in the Ark-La-Tex but none are greater than Brittany Brumfield, a student at LSU Shreveport.  We were unsuccessful getting Brittany on the phone this morning, but we did mention on the radio that the cat is out of the bag about how wonderful she is!  

And because of her giving heart and creative thinking, she is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country "Caught in The Act" Award.

Here's the inspiring nomination we received from Haley Wade.

Brittany Brumfield, a college student at LSUS, hosts pageants for cancer victims, survivors, and people who have lost or have loved ones with cancer. I've had the pleasure participating in her pageants over the past two years. She truly puts her heart and soul into this cause. She has a t-shirt line where all the profits go to St. Jude for cancer research. Brittany's goal in life is to graduate from college and find a cure for cancer...and I believe she will do it!

According to her Facebook page, Brittany Brumfield is not just a student at LSUS, she's an Oncology Major, so she's seriously taken on finding a cure for cancer!
