Why Are 1000’s of Honda Bikes Coming to Shreveport This Weekend?
This weekend is going to be packed in the Shreveport - Bossier City area, and I'm not just talking about the 4th of July stuff. Sure, there will be quite a few celebrations and festivals to celebrate our great country's birthday - but the attendance at those event might just pale when compared to the one that is literally rolling into town for the next 5-6 days.
You will most certainly see a lot more motorcycles on the roadways around town this weekend, and if you are very perceptive - you might just notice that they all have something in common: They're Honda Goldwings. That's because the official, 43rd Wing Ding has named Shreveport as the location for this year's event!
For those who might not be familiar with this event, it's a celebration of motorcycle riders who prefer to cruise the country on the back of the Honda Goldwing cruiser. This bike was designed for making the long haul as comfortable as possible, that it is wildly popular!
According to the report from KSLA, the meet-up is happening now through July the 2nd. It's put together by The Gold Wing Road Rider’s Association(TGWRRA) as a way for Goldwing enthusiasts to swap stories about touring the country on their bikes, attend safety courses, see new products, and even test drive the latest and greatest Goldwing bikes on the market.
If you consider yourself a "Wing-Dinger," or just want to see what all of the hype is about, you can register and find more on the official Wing Ding website here.
