Craig McCoy recently got a dollar bill at the concession stand at the Haughton Dixie Baseball Fields and it had a "Where's George?" stamp on it.  See the picture below.

George Dollar

Going to the website listed on the stamp, WheresGeorge.com, we found that the bill was part of a brand new packet released in June of 2011 in Pennsylvania and by April 2012 was here in our neck of the woods.  You might have seen one of these stamps before and never thought anything of it, but we thought it was really cool to see all the stops the bill had made and was registered, before it wound up in the cash register next to the sunflower seeds and ring pops.  The site is free and I'm pretty certain its not part of some government conspiracy to monitor our spending habits of the lowly one dollar bill, but simply an outlet for the curious who might like to see where the bill came from or will show up later.  Maybe it was in a kid's birthday card from Grandma...or maybe it was in the change someone got from purchasing a wedding ring.  You really never know...but you'll know where/when each time it was or will be registered and you can use your imagination to figure out how.
