Krewe of Gemini Float Loading Party: Friday night at the Krewe of Gemini Den on E. Texas St. Get a sneak peak of the floats and throws at the annual float loading part, while enjoying live music. Explore the Mardi Gras Museum. 6-9 pm (more)

New movies opening today: "Son of God" hits theaters and it's basically the New Testament part of the History channel miniseries "The Bible", but in a longer movie version. It's up against the Liam Neeson air marshal thriller "Non-Stop" and the Forest Whitaker thriller called "Repentance". (more)
