The Band Perry and Insane Inflatables 5k Top List of Shreveport/Bossier’s Weekend Events

Epic. That's a good word. Epic essentially describes this weekend here in Kiss Country. There's so much going on that if you find yourself vegging out in front of the TV, it's because you really didn't want to do anything.

Here's a list of all the cool stuff we found!

• Insane Inflatables - 5k

The Insane Inflatable 5K will be held Saturday, December 13 on the campus of LSU Shreveport! Several waves are scheduled beginning as early as 9:00 am and the last wave beginning at 1:00 pm. This isn’t your typical 5K! Oh, you’ll still run 3.1 miles,
but be prepared for some major obstacles along the way. In order to cross the finish line, you’ll run, climb, jump, slide and crawl over the biggest inflatables in the country.

• The Band Perry at Horseshoe Riverdome

The sibling trio has taken country music by storm over the last few years consistently playing to sold-out crowds and garnering awards from the Grammy's CMA, CMT, AMA and ACA. They'll hit the stage tonight (Friday) at 8:00 pm, but at this writing, tickets are sold out.  However, last minute tickets may become available at HorseshoeBossierCity.com

• Benton Christmas on the Square

The 15th Annual Benton Christmas on the Square Festival and Parade will run Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, rain or shine, at Heritage Village Square on Sibley Street in downtown Benton! Admission is absolutely FREE. And you’ll want to take advantage of the FREE parking and shuttle service at the Bossier Parish Courthouse. The first shuttle leaves at 9:30 am and this last shuttle returns to the court house at 6:00 pm!

• Haughton Artisan Craft Fair & Rummage Sale

You'll find everything from canned and baked goods to honey, homemade crafts and a wide selection of rummage items Saturday, December 13 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in front of Ivey Lumber on Highway 80 in Haughton.
