Again today, because of the donations YOU made to Flood Me With Love, we were able to provide a local family with much needed relief after the Flood of 2016.
During the Flood of 2016 we saw a lot of "bads." We saw the bad side of Mother Nature and we saw plenty of the bad side of humanity with thieves stealing from flooded homes. But we also saw the great side of humanity. We saw people like Gerald Bamburg, who, in spite of watching the destruction to his own home and property, continued to care for others.
It was said a long time ago by someone much smarter than me that, "to have a friend, be a friend." And it's painfully obvious to us that David and Vanessa Langley of Oil City are the kind of people LOTS of people call "friend."
Buzz and Marie Kemper's home was a total loss in the Flood of 2016 and through your donations to Flood Me With Love, we were able to provide $1,500 aid.
For the past several weeks, Kiss Country has been collecting money for local flood victims with the "Flood Me With Love" campaign, and today we began giving out these funds.
This morning from 7-9am Kiss Country wants you to 'Flood Me With Love!' I will be out in front of the Brookshire's in Haughton accepting your donations.
Kiss Country wants to create a Flood of Love! There's an overwhelming need in our area for families displaced by the recent flood waters and while we can't help them all, we want to help as many as we can!
