Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge to Close For Krewe of Gemini Parade

With the Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras parade set to roll this Saturday at 4:30 pm, there will obviously be some traffic issues and the Bossier City Police Department has already let us know of one.

Bossier Police will close the westbound span of the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge to all traffic going into Shreveport for the parade.

The shutdown will occur starting at approximately 3 p.m. and will remain in effect until the parade concludes later that evening.

Service roads that run along Westgate Drive east of the bridge in Bossier City will stay open so that motorists will be able to access businesses and residences in the area.
