According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, motorists need to prepare for a couple of nighttime closures this week for the purpose of testing bridge components:

The advisory from the DOTD lists these closures which will begin as early as tomorrow (Feb. 13) night:

  • February 13th and 14th from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am - LA 3032 (Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge) over the Red River in Bossier and Caddo Parishes: outside lane in both directions
  • February 14th and 15th from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am - I-220 bridge over the Red River in Bossier and Caddo Parishes: outside lane in both directions

As with all projects from the DOTD, this work will be performed weather permitting, so there is the possibility of delays, extensions or rescheduling of these projects due to inclement weather.
