More Lane/Ramp Closures To Slow Shreveport Traffic This Week
Shreveport traffic is sure to get even more tricky in a couple more areas beginning this week.
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, motorists need to prepare for intermittent lane closures beginning this week on one of Shreveport's busiest thoroughfares.
The DOTD Advisory states that on Thursday, February 15th and Monday, February 19, there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 3132 westbound near the Linwood Avenue interchange in Shreveport.
Additionally, the Linwood Avenue on-ramp to LA 3132 westbound will be closed.
These closures are scheduled to take place from approximately 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day, and are necessary to allow DOTD crews to conduct roadway maintenance operations.
As with all projects from the DOTD, this work will be performed weather permitting, so there is the possibility of delays, extensions or rescheduling of these projects due to inclement weather.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
