Complete Emergency Closure Of Webster Bridge To Snarl Traffic
With the utmost concern for area motorists, on Thursday, April 11, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that the LA 531 bridge just south of the intersection with LA 532 in Dubberly, Webster Parish was officially closed.

According to the DOTD, the emergency closure was necessary due to the condition of the structure, with repairs scheduled to begin as soon as materials arrive.
Currently, there is no date on reopening, but DOTD will issue an update when further information is available.
This bridge is located over an unnamed waterway, immediately south of LA 532.
The DOTD goes on to say that this is a total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to detour. Detour signage will be in place.
As with all projects from the DOTD, this work will be done weather permitting, so delays, postponements or extensions of this work could be possible due to inclement weather.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
