Meet Julie K – The New (Prettier) Half of the Gary and Julie Morning Show

Well, the first day was fun. Yesterday morning started a new era for us at Kiss Country 93-7! Julie K is now part of the Kiss Country family.

It was kind of fitting that her first day was the day our country was casting votes in probably the most important presidential election of most of our lives.  Why fitting?  Because we're hoping that you'll continue to vote for Kiss Country every time you turn on the radio.  

And Julie K is going to bring a dimension of FUN and FUNNY to the Gary and Julie Morning Show that will make it easy for you to cast your vote our way. Thought I'd take a second to introduce her to you.

First off, she's really smart. I think that both her parents and her brother are all certified genuises. I'm talking Mensa smart. That acorn can't have fallen too far from the tree and she definitely will bring some intelligence to your morning that an old deer-hunting, bass-fishing redneck could never do by himself.

She's obviously pretty, but she's that kind of pretty that doesn't know she's pretty. You know, like the Sammy Kershaw song "She Don't Know She's Beautiful."

She's single and doesn't have any kids, but she definitely understands the struggles of today's working Mom. In fact, both her brother and sister in law are in the Armed Forces and while deployed, she moved into their home to take care of their kids 'til they returned.

And that also explains her passion for service men and women. She truly appreciates every sacrifice they make with every beat of her heart. (Plus, she says she really loves a guy in uniform.)

She's spent lots of her childhood in both Champaign, Illinois and Dallas, Texas. She went to college at the University of Colorado (so she's a Buffalo and probably the only one of those most of us have ever met).  She's got a really good pedigree when it comes to radio having worked in Dallas, Austin, Washington D.C. and San Diego.

She LOVES Nascar. She's ridden 4-wheelers and she's an admitted shoe-a-holic, but she knows absolutely nothing about deer stands, bass fishing or rubber boots. She's also never been snipe hunting. Trust me, we'll set up that trip one night and you can come, too!
