I-20 Reopened Early Thursday Morning

I-20 IS OPEN AGAIN in Bossier Parish.  Around 5pm yesterday, an accident on I-20 between mile markers 29 and 31 involving an 18 wheeler loaded with 16,000 pounds of explosives caused a near total gridlock of Bossier Parish.  The near 3 mile stretch of I-20 had to be closed while crews were brought in to off load the explosives and traffic was diverted to Highway 80, which in turn came to a near screeching halt with a couple of its own accidents and overwhelming volume of vehicles. According to DOTD and Homeland Security, that stretch of I-20 was re-opened around 3am this morning and traffic is back to normal.
