Debbie Baker Is This Week’s Caught in the Act Recipient

A woman showing us the love she feels for her own Mother is a beautiful thing to us, but when that same woman writes to tell us about how incredible her Mother-In-Law is, well, that's a horse of a different color.

That's exactly what happened this week. Heather Baker sent in a nomination letter for her Mother In Law, Debbie Baker, and you could feel the love, admiration and respect that Heather has for Debbie in every word.

And that letter made the selection of Debbie Baker as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award as easy as it gets.

I cherish my mother in law. People do not hear that line a lot. She has been there for me through the toughest of times. She lost her husband and was left with 3 boys 7,8, and 12 years old to raise on her own. She started working at Ellis home and Garden to support her family and has been there 27 years even now. She is dedicated to her family and to all responsibilities she carries. I married her youngest son Brian in 2019 and in 2020 gave birth to sweet Grayson. He was diagnosed with severe combined immunodeficiency and underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant at just a small age of 12 months old. When I tell you she stepped up - she stepped high. She has been a rock for me Brian and baby Grayson. She held events to help him fight for his life, financially helped us stay afloat even through her own struggles. We have cried together and laughed together. I could not ask for a better , supportive mother in law. She is truly a gift and could not have made it through without her support. I really thank her.
