And those people know that our community is better, because there's Ginger. That's exactly why Ginger Foster is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Where to begin with Ginger…. I first want to start off to say she is the most selfless and caring woman I know. Her life hasn’t always been easy or was anything ever given to her but she has always made it work. I have the privilege of knowing Ginger for years and now get to work beside her. She is a marketer for one of our local hospitals here in Shreveport, for mental illness and substance abuse, when I tell yall she loves what she does and is good at it is an understatement. The love and passion she has for these patients is like no other and she does everything in her will power to try to get them the help they need and does not stop until she finds a solution. I’ve had calls from her in the middle of the night and on weekends about these patients. She never stops!!! On another note she also married a man with kids and has taken them in and helped raise those children and love them like her own, along with her own children even after the loss of their other parents. We always joke that she has the “Brady Bunch!” Then not to mention she helps raise her young grandchildren, juggles all of their activities, makes sure they are well taken care of and somehow manages to work and often times has to go out of town for work. She goes as far as Alabama and Mississippi for her patients!! This is just barely scratching the surface for what all the woman can and does do. She also makes time to go to nursing homes and homeless shelters to market out services we provide promoting mental wellness and making sure they have a hot meal or get to play bingo!! This woman truly is a superstar and I’m blessed to call her a friend and a coworker!!!
