Chad Davis Is Latest Recipient of Caught in the Act Award [VIDEO]

To a number of youngsters in the area, he's Coach Chad, but to the mother of one of his players, he's a God send!

Lindsay Wood recently wrote to us to tell us just how fortunate these young baseball players are to have Chad Davis in their lives.

Chad coaches a local group of kids playing travel baseball and not only is he helping them to be good baseball players, the lessons he's teaching them should make them great people.

In one of the most touching letters we've received in a long time, we saw just how easy the choice was to name Chad Davis this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just look at the letter we got from Lindsay!

Chad Davis coaches my son’s 11 year old BC Elite baseball team. This past summer we were in Dallas playing in a tournament. We were in the last inning of a game we needed to win to move on to the next round. The game was tied up when a hard hit ball took a bad bounce and hit the other teams short stop in the mouth. The player ended up losing some teeth and was immediately was taken to the dentist. The team we were playing only had 9 players. So, they were going to continue playing with only two outfielders. Without hesitation, Coach Chad sent on one of our players to help them out. It was a such a lesson for our kids. There is more to the game of baseball than winning. Good sportsmanship is paramount. He teaches our team more than the baseball fundamentals. He teaches them that doing the right thing is always the right thing to do. We went on to win the game but not without our players learning a valuable lesson. This is what it’s all about!
