If you ask Billie Smith about her niece, Heather Creasey, she'll tell you that Heather is the most incredible girl in the world, but Heather would argue that distinction belongs to her Aunt Billie.

In fact, it was Heather who introduced us all to Billie and Billie is certainly an inspiration to everyone who's life she has touched.

She's helped others in so many ways in our community, at her church, her family, and perfect strangers she felt just needed a helping hand; Billie's been there for all.

And that's why Billie Smith is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award. Just look at the letter we got from Heather which made it so easy to recognize Billie this week.

This woman, my aunt, has always been helpful to anyone who needs it. She worked for over twenty years as an aid to disabled children in Caddo parish. I remember being a kid and going to Shriners to see one of her students who had surgery, she never hesitates to go out of her way to make someone feel better. Besides that she has always volunteered at church, helped cared for people at church, in her own family, neighbors, and friends. Always willing to drive someone to the doctor, give them a ride to church, or even take them to the store if they are unable to take themselves. Has a big heart and a lot of patience. She hasn’t always had it easy and still has always been there for me, she was the one who threw my engagement party and wedding shower because my own mom was not able to. I love this woman very much and am so thankful that I have her in my life.

Billie Smith, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse and Silver Star Grille have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Billie to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
