People from all over the world come to Louisiana for our food, our hospitality and our party-like atmosphere.

Hey, we look good, we eat good and we like to have a good time. It's kind of infectious.  However, those visiting the Bayou State notice right off that we do things a little different around here.

Of course, those just moving here usually go through a period of culture shock, but those who have only visited our great state are normally in awe of the sights, sounds, smells and the ambience that is Louisiana.

Those Who Have Never Been Here Have No Clue What Life Here Is Really Like

However, those that have never even visited often times think of our lifestyle as weird. Most think that we have to wade in knee-deep water on our way to work or school. We all know that only happens a couple times a year.

Worse yet, they often have preconceived notions of what they "think" life is like here, and until proven otherwise, think that we aren't quite right.

Little do they know that it's those unique things that we are most proud of!  Our swamps, the mosquitoes, nutria rats, and Spanish moss are what paint the most vivid pictures of Louisiana, but those in North Dakota have never seen anything like them.
