Kiss Country has joined with Bayou Outdoors Super Center and the Greenwood Pioneer Heritage Festival to bring you the Greenwood “Fishin’ Mission 2-man Team Bass Tournament.”

We're only a couple days off from one of the biggest events for the outdoorsman in all of North Louisiana.  The Sportsman's Expo begins Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday at Shreveport's Expo Hall.

The BassMaster Classic.  It's the granddaddy of all bass fishing tournaments and only the best of the best are allowed to compete each year.  And February 20-22, 2015, we've got a local boy who to root for!  He's Brett Preuett from Colfax, Louisiana, who attends the University of Louisiana Monroe.

The Ark-La-Tex Sports Foundation has partnered with the A.L.S. Association and local ALS Advocates, Jimmy and Mickie Roberts, for a Bass Fishing Tournament called “Lou Gehrig’s Disease can Kiss my Bass.”

A little more than a year ago, Whitney Green and Britni Heable of Benton lost their 5 month old daughter, Brinlee Mae Green, to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).  It was a parent's worst nightmare. The 2014 State Fair of Louisiana Boat, Sport & RV Show will return to the State Fairgrounds this Friday through Sunday, January 17 - 19!  Not only will you be able to shop through scores of boat dealers, you’ll also find lots of fishing tackle and the “Gun and Knife Show” in Hirsch Coliseum .

Casey Graham is a 35 year old, local oil field worker, and in September he was re-diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread throughout his entire abdomen. This Saturday, November 9, Carter Services and scores of Casey's friends will host a bass tournament on Caddo Lake to raise much needed funds for Casey and his family.

Yesterday we saw Ruth Frazier's winning picture in Kiss Country 93-7's Kiss A Fish Photo Contest. She and a guest will be fishing Sunday with one of the FLW professional fishermen Sunday for a couple hours on the Red River. And today, we're announcing another big winner.

Well, the first day of the FLW Forrest Wood Cup is now in the record books and Randall Tharp stood atop the heaping of incredibly talented fishermen by one whole ounce.

The 2013 FLW Forrest Wood Cup is one of the biggest events in the country for bass fishermen.  It's much like the World Series for baseball fans and this week that "World Series" is coming to our backyard.

The first day of the BassMaster Central Open on the Red River is in the books and congratulations to James Johnson of Ganado, Texas for taking the lead with a 5 fish limit weighing 16-5.  2nd place belongs to Randall Tharp of Gardendale, Alabama with a 5 fish limit weighing 15-14.  Tharp also caught the largest bass of the day with a Red River lunker tipping the scales at 7-2.

The first ever bass tournament to benefit D.A.R.T. (Domestic Abuse Resistance Team) will be held Sunday, May 26 at Red River South Marina on Red River.
