FLW Forrest Wood Cup BassTournament Begins Thursday, August 15

The 2013 FLW Forrest Wood Cup is one of the biggest events in the country for bass fishermen.  It's much like the World Series for baseball fans and this week that "World Series" is coming to our backyard. 

The pros have been in town for a couple days now meeting fans as they hung out with Gary McCoy at Red River Chevy and with Chris Evans at Wal-Mart, but now their attention is pretty well turned exclusively to finding enough fish and a workable game plan and pattern that will propel them into the winner's circle on Sunday.

With competition beginning Thursday, and this being the first time to Red River for a few of the anglers, they have much to learn in a short amount of time.

However, for fishing fans, there's plenty of time for all the fun the Forrest Wood Cup brings.  From the launch each morning at 6am at Red River South Marina with free coffee and donuts, to the FLW Expo Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Shreveport Convention Center to the 5pm daily weigh ins at the Centurylink Center, there is going to be a little something for everyone.
