And it's not just us weekend warriors who have found Jesus at the center of our lives.  There is just as big a movement in the world of professional bass fishing.

This spiritual movement has some incredible ambassadors in the likes of Jimmy Houston, Hank Parker, Mark Rose, Andy Montgomery, and there's 2019 Bassmaster Classic Champion, Ott Defoe!

And now, all men and boys in Shreveport/Bossier will have the opportunity to experience a night with Ott Defoe as he is the featured guest speaker at the upcoming Sportsman's Night Out at Summer Grove Baptist Church at 8924 Jewella in the old South Park Mall in Shreveport.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 24 at Summer Grove Baptist Church. Doors will open at 5:00 pm and the catfish dinner will begin to be served at 5:30 pm.

Along with an amazing meal there will be literally dozens of give aways including a total of 22 rifles and shotguns and many more hunting and fishing prizes! For a $10 donation, you can enter to win an Antler Shed Blind or a Complete LiveScope system with 10 inch screen and installation!

We'll also be treated to an uplifting Christian message from our featured guest, Ott Defoe, who joins his wife each Sunday when he's not on the Major League Fishing professional tournament trail, for an online Bible Study entitled JOJ - Jesus Ott Jenny. Just take a look at this past Sunday's message for a little taste of what's to come for this special event.

Tickets are $15 for an individual or 120 for a reserved table that seats 8 and can be purchased at the office of Summer Grove Baptist in Shreveport or online at summergrove.org/sno.  There is a $2 service fee for online purchases.

Seating is limited for this special event, so all tickets must be purchased by Sunday, August 20 and must be picked up at the church office prior to the night of the event on August 24. No Will Call will be provided.
