The 2014 State Fair of Louisiana Boat, Sport & RV Show will return to the State Fairgrounds this Friday through Sunday, January 17 - 19!  Not only will you be able to shop through scores of boat dealers, you’ll also find lots of fishing tackle and the “Gun and Knife Show” in Hirsch Coliseum . 

Additionally, appearing on Sunday, Jan. 19 from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m. will be Troy Landry from "Swamp People" but for lots of area fishermen, the biggest attraction will be the Landers/Ram B.O.S.S. Bass Tournament.

The tournament will be comprised of two-man teams who’ll fish a number of area lakes for a two bass limit.

Held this Saturday, January 18, anglers can fish any 10 area lakes including Lake O’ the Pines, Brandy Branch, Caddo Lake, Lake Bistineau, Cross Lake, Red River, Toledo Bend, Grand Bayou Coushatta, Black Lake Campti or Black Bayou at Hosston.  Entry fee is $180 per Team.

There is a registration and mandatory rules meeting at the Fair Grounds Friday evening which requires attendance of at least one team member from each team.

Prize money will be paid to one place per every five entries.  Also, Landers/ Ram will sponsor a $500 Big Bass pot and 20 places out of the regular payout will receive a Bonus Bucks Check. Last year every team that came to the scales got a check.
