When we read Michael's nomination letter from his wife Kimberly, it was obvious that he had a calling to be there for our American heroes when they most need him.

On top of that, Michael's family knows just how blessed they are to have him. His commitment, kindness and dedication make him head and shoulders above the rest.

And because of those attributes, Michael was an easy selection as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Michael spends his days taking care of veterans. Being a veteran himself he knows the process all too well of trying to get benefits you may have earned in the line of duty with little to no prevail. He spends hours on each claim he receives in order to find anything that may have been missed to get the veterans taken care of. He truly loves what he does and it's amazing to see the joy it brings him to help someone else. I thank God everyday for placing him in my life. His evenings are spent with his family. Whether it is cooking dinner and letting our two littles help or just simply laying next to them so they can fall asleep it brings my heart such joy to witness. This man is my person and I would not have it any other way.
