Most kids Tristan's age start a lemonade stand to buy that toy they've had their eye on. Tristan just wants to be adopted by the only family he has ever known. Unfortunately for Tristan's legal guardians, Donnie and Jimmy Davis, the cost of adoption can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000. Tristan  and his family decided to have a garage sale and a lemonade stand to help raise money for the adoption fees. Local media caught wind of the goal Tristan had, and the word spread like wild fire. People were driving from hours away to donate money and buy some of Tristan's lemonade.

Tristan set out to get a few hundred dollars, which is such a small percentage of the $5,000-$10,000 goal. With the help of local media and folks in the community Tristan raised over $18,000. Donnie Davis who Tristan has always called "Mom" says they can now start the adoption process and all the additional money will be a huge help when Tristan is ready for college.
