Bossier Police Will Make You Lunch To Help Officer Kenny Gallon
It was a day that Bossier City Police are not likely to forget in the near future.
May 2, 2023, was the day that a gunman shot a number of people at the Valero on Industrial Drive in Bossier. One of those victims, who was shot multiple times, was Bossier City Police Officer Kenny Gallon.
Facing a long term recovery from his wounds, citizens all over are doing what they can to help Officer Gallon's family financially through this time of crisis.
Last week a fundraiser was held at Bilbo Baggins with some amazing food. On June 10, local anglers will take to the waters of Caddo Lake in a bass tournament specifically being held to benefit Officer Gallon and his family.
Friends of the Bossier Police and those concerned for Officer Gallon and his family are constantly asking what they can do to help. Today, all those people need to do is be hungry.
The Bossier City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #39 is hosting a fundraiser cookout from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at 620 Benton Road, right in front of the Police Department.
Officers will man the grill and cook up some amazing hamburgers! Meals will consist of a burger, chips and a drink and the cost is whatever a person feels is a worthy donation.
All proceeds from these donations will go to Officer Gallon and his family.
