Raising Cane’s Invites Customers to Help Feed Hungry Kids: The fundraising drive will run tomorrow June 14th at all 5 SBC locations. To bolster participation, Raising Cane’s will give customers a “Buy One Box Combo, Get One Box Combo Free” thank-you certificate for every $1 donated this week until June 14. Customers may donate any amount, in increments of $1, at any participating Cane’s, with or without a purchase. (more)

South Highlands Summer Market at Mall St Vincent: Shreveport’s new summertime Open-Air Market going through August 8th, every Friday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 pm under a large tent outside the mall adjacent to the historic St. Vincent Academy. (more)

Yappy Hour to Support Robinson's Rescue Friday June 13th: Dog owners can take their pets out to eat with them for Yappy Hour at Texadelphia in Shreveport Friday. Your $10 donation goes to Robinson’s Rescue Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic. The restaurant, is donating 10 percent of the evening’s profits between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. to Robinson’s Rescue. (more)

Easton Corbin at the Horseshoe Riverdome: Known for his hit songs “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It” will be at the Horseshoe Riverdome tonight. (more)

Shreveport Farmers Market: The Saturday morning event at Festival Plaza kicks off at 7am features live music, homegrown fruits and vegetables. As well as, jams, jellies, prepared food, art and more. (more)

Duck Commander Independence Bowl’s Free Youth Football Clinic: The one day clinic Saturday June 14th is for boys and girls between the ages of 5-13 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Shreveport’s Independence Stadium. The FREE, non-contact clinic will be led by former student-athletes and area college coaches including the University of Louisiana at Monroe, LSU, Mississippi Valley State University, East Texas Baptist University and Louisiana College. Red River Bowmen Hosting Southern Sectional Archery Championship: Archers from all over Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi will compete in several divisions at the Red River Bowmen range at 4099 Ratcliff Road in Shreveport. Competition shooting will begin at 9:00 am each day, Saturday, June 14 and Sunday June 15. (more)

Caddo Sheriff’s Women’s Firearms and Personal Safety Class: If you’re a woman and would like to learn to protect yourself from would-be attackers in these tough times, Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator would like to provide you that training. The Sheriff is offering a basic firearms and safety class for women from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14 at the Caddo Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy. (more)

Sun of a Beach Festival: Are you ready, parrotheads? Saturday June 14th We’re throwing a party for anyone who loves Jimmy Buffett music, frosty margaritas and tasty cheeseburgers in the little slice of paradise called Bossier City. The Redd’s Apple Ale Sun of a Beach Festival, presented by MetroPCS and Townsquare Media, will turn Cash Point into party central. If the promise of great food and fun wasn’t enough, Sun of a Beach will offer live music by the Stiff Necked Fools, a Jimmy Buffett tribute artist Brent Burns and more. (more)
