Tim McGraw Is the Best-Selling Musician from Louisiana

If you've ever asked yourself 'who is the best-selling artist born in the Sportsman's Paradise,' we now have an answer.

A Reddit user looked at record sales statistics released by the RIAA and figured out the top-selling musicians from nearly every state. Tim McGraw, who was born in Delhi, Louisiana, earned the nod for our best-selling artists. He's sold 37.5 million albums.

McGraw beats out several other big-name artists born in Louisiana, including Britney Spears and Harry Connick, Jr.

Nearby Arkansas, Texas and Mississippi also (unsurprisingly) saw country stars top their results. Arkansas' top-selling act is Johnny Cas, Kenny Rogers topped Texas and Elvis Presley was named the best-selling artist from Mississippi.

The best-selling band ever according to the RIAA? The Beatles, with 177 million certified units sold. Elvis Presley follows the Fab fFour with 134.5 million records sold.
